Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I make a claim?
To begin the claim complete our simple online claim form and one of our experienced claims handlers will be in touch with you within a few hours.
2. What sort of injury can I claim for?
Any injury whether physical, mental or emotional which arises as a result of an accident that was not your fault.
3. Can I claim for an accident that happened a while ago?
The usual rule is that claims must be submitted within 3 years of the happening of the accident or 3 years from the date that you became aware that you had sustained an injury in certain other cases.  The Court does have discretion to allow cases to proceed late. We can advise you on that, if necessary, on an individual basis.
4. What if my claim is not successful?
We deal with virtually all of our clients on a no-win no-fee basis.  If you do not win, providing you co-operate fully with us throughout the claim you will not be charged a penny.
5. Does no-win, no-fee really mean just that?
Yes, providing you co-operate with us throughout the claim e.g. answering correspondence and turning up for appointments.
6. Does no-win, no-fee mean I have to pay something if I win the claim?
No, your costs will be paid by the losing party in addition to your compensation.  The service is therefore entirely without cost to you, providing you have cooperated throughout.
7. If I make a claim against my employer can he dismiss me?
No. To dismiss an employee without a good reason, handled in a fair way, would give rise to a claim against your employer.
8. Can I claim for accidents that did not happen in this country?
Yes.
9. Will I be working with a local solicitor?
Yes.  sas daniels LLP have offices across the North West.
10. Are the solicitors dealing with my claim specialists in personal injury claims?
Yes.  We have specialists in various different kinds of personal injury claims and medical negligence claims.
11. How long does it take to settle a claim?
The length of time it takes to settle a claim depends upon the nature and complexity of the individual claim.  Most straightforward claims are settled within 6 to 12 months.  More complex or higher value claims will take longer.
12. Will I have to go to Court?
It is very, very unlikely.
